Social Media Campaign

MARSA Project LogoThe youths and youth leaders worked on the MARSAproject.

MARSAproject is a social media campaign that has as a central element the word of experts on migration who define words that we usually use indiscriminately when speaking and writing about migration. The video content is all brief, in an informal setting but in clear terms to make them apt for easy consumption and understanding.

The concept behind the campaign is that understanding the words used in discourse about migration cannot but help the public understand what is happening on the topic of migration. It helps people understand what is really happening as opposed to what people understand, or rather misunderstand, due to misinformation, rash statements and comments made by others on social media without facts or information.

At the end of the MARSA InternPrize project the campaign was extended by The Real Picture project also including new content that widens the scope and reach of the campaign to include stories by migrants. A music video also animates the second generation of the MARSAproject campaign.
